Senior Graphic Designer / UX/UI Designer

Overview
Under the supervision and purview of the Creative/Production Director, the Senior Graphic Designer / UX/UI Designer works with clients (and potential clients) and the West Edge team to execute high-quality design and digital experiences across print, brand, motion, and web.
This role blends strong visual design leadership with UX/UI and WordPress execution, requiring both creative vision and technical fluency. The ideal candidate stays current on industry trends, design standards, web technologies, and software, and applies that knowledge to create visually compelling, user-centered solutions that meet client goals and uphold West Edge ’s standards of excellence.
We’re looking for a self-starter with exceptional attention to detail, a passion for growth, and the ability to contribute positively to West Edge’s collaborative, one-of-a-kind culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Think creatively to develop original, action-inducing concepts and visual solutions
- Work on a wide range of projects—often several at one time—including:
- Brand identities and logos
- Websites and UX/UI design (WordPress)
- Brand collateral, stationery, magazines, product packaging, exhibits, and corporate identity systems
- Motion graphics and visual assets for video
- Design and execute websites from concept through deployment in WordPress
Collaborate closely with:
Creative/Production Director on design direction
- Technology Strategist on website and UX/UI decisions
- Client Success Managers and Project Managers to ensure quality, accuracy, and on-time delivery
- Adapt quickly in a fast-paced, fluid, and dynamic agency environment
- Perform UX/UI and design QA prior to launch or production
- Execute final implementation tasks such as image uploads, content migration, and design refinements
- Work collaboratively with printers, copywriters, photographers, videographers, developers, and other creatives
- Assist with design production work and other duties as assigned
- Represent West Edge’s quality standards and contribute to the agency’s creative “team ego”
Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 5–10 years of professional experience in graphic design, web design, and UX/UI
- Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud & Figma
- Strong experience designing and building websites using WordPress CMS
- Solid understanding of front-end web technologies, including:
- HTML
- CSS / SCSS / Less
- JavaScript
- PHP and MySQL (working knowledge)
- Experience creating motion graphics in After Effects (strong plus)
- Ability to estimate project time accurately and contribute to client quotes
- Experience creating design and/or development briefs aligned to client goals
- Proven ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and quality
- Strong proofreading skills and attention to detail
- Experience reviewing work for prepress or deployment errors
- Confidence presenting, explaining, and defending creative solutions to internal teams and clients
- Openness to feedback and willingness to iterate and improve designs

Education
Preferred degree (or equivalent professional experience) in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, UX/UI Design, or a related field
