Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Estimator to join our Estimating Department. This role is responsible for procuring new mechanical construction projects and collaborating closely with the Construction Team to ensure accuracy, value, and customer satisfaction. The Estimator plays a key role in driving revenue and enhancing the customer experience through solutions-based estimating.
The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, highly organized, and skilled at value engineering and estimating within mechanical construction environments. This position requires both independent work and collaborative teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed project estimates including full scope, materials, labor, and required content
- Review drawings and specifications to confirm scope and ensure accuracy
- Develop and deliver accurate project proposals and cost estimates
- Review scopes of GCs, Owners, Subs, and Vendors
- Provide change order support to Project Managers
- Lead Turnover 1 meetings for awarded projects
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective customers
- Evaluate drawings for value engineering opportunities
- Organize and maintain documents and files for estimate backup
- Support other team members and departments as needed
- Perform all duties in alignment with company Mission and Core Values

What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of estimating experience in mechanical construction
- Advanced knowledge of HVAC or plumbing systems
- Advanced understanding of mechanical estimating software
- Experience with PIPEFITTING estimation (in house)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to make site visits as needed
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong people skills and a customer-service mindset
- Ability to listen actively, coach, and receive coaching
- Ability to work under time constraints and manage multiple priorities
- Positive contributor with initiative and problem-solving abilities
