Shift: 2nd Shift (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM)
Compensation: Up to $75,000 base + shift differential + overtime

About the Opportunity
A well-established, multi-generation food manufacturing company is seeking a Production Supervisor to support high-volume packaging and processing operations at a growing Midwest facility. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and brings a lean, continuous improvement, and safety-first mindset.
The facility operates year-round, with peak production seasons requiring increased overtime. Candidates should be comfortable leading teams through high-output periods while maintaining strong quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Quality
- Supervise hourly production employees across packaging and processing lines
- Ensure production lines run efficiently and meet daily output targets
- Maintain product quality parameters and compliance standards
- Actively drive continuous improvement initiatives
Safety, Sanitation & Compliance
- Lead daily housekeeping and sanitation activities for the shift
- Ensure compliance with GMPs, food safety plans, and quality programs
- Conduct safety audits and follow up on corrective actions
- Monitor, document, and report food safety and quality issues to management
Planning, Reporting & Projects
- Plan and organize daily production activities
- Complete daily production, operating, and efficiency reports
- Support and execute assigned project work and improvement initiatives
Line Operations
- Oversee line start-ups and shutdowns
- Troubleshoot production issues to minimize downtime
People Leadership
- Hire, train, coach, and evaluate hourly production employees
- Lead safety training and ongoing employee development
- Support employee engagement and retention initiatives
Qualifications
- 2+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in food, beverage, or high-volume manufacturing preferred (automotive backgrounds also considered)
- Strong understanding of safety, quality, and production systems
- Comfortable working extended hours during peak seasons
- Lean / continuous improvement mindset
- Degree preferred but not required
Schedule & Compensation Details
- Base Salary: Up to $75,000
- Overtime: Paid at straight time after 45 hours
- Typical Hours: ~45 hours/week (off-peak)
- Peak Season: Up to 60 hours/week, 6 days
- Shift Differential: Yes
