Role Summary/Purpose:

Reporting to the SVP, OnePay Marketing Leader, the Head of Digital Growth & Acquisition Marketing will serve as a trailblazer in defining and executing full-funnel acquisition strategies across the OnePay and Walmart credit portfolio. This leader will reimagine acquisition marketing through an industry-forward lens-blending data science, creative innovation, and digital performance media to deliver high-impact growth.

The ideal candidate brings a track record of outside-the-box digital strategy, combined with hands-on leadership experience across paid and owned channels, test-and-learn frameworks, and martech enablement. This VP-level role is central to driving new account growth, owning the digital media roadmap, and integrating seamlessly with Synchrony, OnePay and Walmart stakeholders.

Essential Responsibilities:

Acquisition Marketing Strategy & Innovation

  • Own the end-to-end digital acquisition strategy for Walmart and OnePay, with a focus on performance marketing, audience targeting, and channel optimization
  • Lead funnel design from impression through application and booking, including optimization of prequal, quickscreen, prescreen, ITAs, text-to-apply, and dApply flows
  • Build breakthrough strategies to test emerging channels and formats (e.g., retail media, shoppable ads, AI targeting)
  • Develop bold, creative growth stunts and store contests, and other forward-looking tactics to activate new customer segments
  • Partner with creative teams and agencies to deliver best-in-class campaign assets and A/B test structures

Digital Media & Martech Leadership

  • Oversee execution and measurement of paid media (search, social, display, affiliate, retail media, etc.) and owned channels (email, push, site)
  • Define audience segmentation strategies, leveraging first party and third party data to improve targeting and efficiency
  • Optimize full-funnel KPIs across impressions, clicks, prequals, approvals, and funded accounts
  • Champion marketing technology and tools to enhance campaign precision and reporting fidelity

Cross-Functional Growth Orchestration

  • Align with Product, Analytics, Legal, UX, and Compliance to accelerate test-and-learn execution
  • Collaborate with Synchrony's internal platform, credit, and digital teams to remove friction from the acquisition journey
  • Represent the acquisition lens in operating rhythms, including leadership reviews, budget discussions, and test results sharing

Walmart + OnePay Partnership Stewardship

  • Build strong alignment with OnePay and Walmart marketing and product stakeholders to drive shared growth
  • Lead the digital acquisition agenda in key meetings with retail, product, and partner leads
  • Ensure acquisition strategies are integrated into merchandising, campaign, and seasonal priorities

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or, in lieu of a degree, a high school equivalentand 14+ years of digital marketing within the credit card industry, plus:
  • 10+ years of experience in digital marketing, preferably within financial services, fintech, or retail media
  • 5+ years in full-funnel acquisition marketing, performance media, and optimization
  • 5+ years people leadership experience managing high-performing digital teams

Grade/Level: 14

The salary range for this position is 150,000.00 - 250,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older
  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
