Position Summary: The Conference Services Administrator must have the ability to follow directions from the Director, execute tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision, effectively organize information, and be able to multitask in fast-paced environment. Administrator also ensures that standards are maintained at all times. Must be able to work cohesively with other departments.
Pay Rate: The rate of pay listed on job boards are auto-generated numbers. Kiawah Island Golf Resort's actual rate of pay for this position is $21.00 per hour.
Qualifications:
- Past hotel operations and administrative experience preferred.
- Clear interest or experience in Conference Services or Events is helpful.
- 2 or 4 year College undergraduate degree preferred
- Must have typing skills and computer training (Word, Excel, Microsoft Office)
- Must be able to communicate with proper grammar in English
- Provide legible and detailed communication
- Excellent telephone and organizational skills
- Ability to multi task and prioritize assignments
- Knowledge of Microsoft word and Excel
- Helpful to have Experience with Salesforce and Agilisys / Versa
- Must have professional demeanor and have a friendly "can- do" attitude
Expectations & Responsibilities:
- Daily distribution of reports and forms.
- Answer guest inquiries in person, via telephone and e-mail.
- Responds to Catering leads.
- File and keep track of departmental files
- Manages inventory of collateral materials and office supplies.
- Assists department managers with site visits, internal meetings and events.
- Maintains and support service commitment and core values.
Essential Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift minimum weight of 20lbs
- Capable of working consecutive and flexible hours
- 75% - Sitting for office work.
- 25% - Stands during shift
