Responsibilities:
Safely and responsibly operate a delivery vehicle to transport home building supplies to customer locations.
Load and unload building materials onto the delivery vehicle, ensuring proper securing and handling of items.
Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, assisting with unloading and answering any delivery-related questions.
Communicate professionally with customers to confirm delivery details and address any inquiries or concerns.
Conduct routine inspections of the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, reporting any issues promptly.
Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and safety standards to ensure the safety of yourself, other road users, and the cargo being transported.
Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure accurate order picking and loading for deliveries.
Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain necessary signatures and paperwork upon delivery.
Assist with general warehouse duties during non-delivery time.
Qualifications:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Previous experience as a delivery driver is an asset.
Knowledge of basic home building supplies and materials is advantageous.
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and team members.
Physical ability to lift and handle building materials during loading and unloading.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional weekends and overtime.
