Are you detail-oriented, highly organized, and looking to grow your career in accounting? We are seeking anAccounting Coordinator to join our Finance team! This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, thrives on accuracy, and wants to make a meaningful impact in a collaborative environment.
As our Accounting Coordinator, youll be at the heart of our financial operations. Youll support accounts payable and receivable, assist with budget and audit preparation, and ensure our financial records are accurate and up to date. Youll also act as a key point of contact between the Finance Department and other staff, clients, and auditors.

Note: This position is full-time with a set weekly schedule (35 hrs/week, Monday - Friday), working onsite in Windermere, BC.
The primary responsibilities include:
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including rental income, property tax, and client invoicing.
- Maintain accurate financial records and organized documentation.
- Coordinate with departments, clients, and auditors to ensure smooth communication.
- Assist with audit preparation and provide support during the annual budget process.
- Monitor funding deposits, prepare reports, and follow up on outstanding accounts.
- Recommend ideas to improve workflows and strengthen internal controls.
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- 24 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (A/P, A/R, or general accounting).
- Working toward or completion of an accounting designation (CPA) is an asset.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Great communication skills and a team-player attitude.
- Experience in non-profit, First Nations, or government-funded organizations is an asset.
- Ability to engage with community members, and stakeholders.
- Cultural awareness and a respectful understanding of Indigenous communities, values, and protocols.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to build trust and maintain relationships across diverse groups.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented.
- A collaborative spirit and proactive approach to problem-solving, negotiation, and strategic thinking.

What we offer:
- Starting salary between $60,000 to $70,000, depending on experience
- Discretionary office closure between Christmas Day and New Years Day, as determined by the Council each year
